In my channel, I show authentic but alternative Japanese home cooking, which can be make with the ingredients available outside of Japan.

In this video, I am cooking Yakisoba, Japanese style fried noodles. Yakisoba is a typical Japanese street food but also something we eat often for lunch.

Ingredients for Yakisoba
Pork (belly or bacon) 50-100 g (2-4 oz)
Cabbage 2-3 leaves
Scalion (green onion) 1-2 bundle
Onion 1/2-1
Carrot 1/3
Spaghetti (preferably angel hair pasta) 60-80 g
Baking powder (for cooking) 1 Tsp
Okonomi-sauce 4 Tbsp
- - - - - - - - or - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Alternative sauce for Okonomi-sauce:
- Ketchup 3 Tbsp
- Worchestershire sauce 1 Tbsp
- Soy sauce 1 Tsp
- Sugar (optional if you like it sweet)
