Are we ready? Yeah. Let's go. Cheese. Good morning. We are going away for our very first camper van trip today. We're all packed. The kids are in the van and we are ready to go. Yay. We've just stopped off at Halfords. We have forgotten a picnic blanket so Rich has just run on in to try and find a picnic blanket and a lantern so we can have a bit of light if we're sat outside tonight and over the weekend we can chill out a bit and not sit in complete darkness. Any luck? Nope. Oh dear. We'll go down the road and be able to get out the doors. Okey dokey. Here he comes. We got one. Yay. Success. So we're at our first stop. We've just parked up at Aeroforce. We've been here before but not for a while. The kids came when they were quite little and today we're also going to extend the walk slightly to go up to High Force which we didn't know you could actually do so we've not done that bit before so we're looking forward to it. Are you ready? Yeah. Who are we? I've only been here once so yeah that's just washed away. Yeah I know what I mean? I think they're doing repair work. What's that? Do you not like it Ted? What's that? What can you see? Take me back up dad. What's that? Looks like half of it's all washed away. i've been so patient like winter waiting for june i'm done and waiting for you waiting for you baby i'm outside but thinking about you all night but thinking it ain't right if you and me only see i got a question mommy no i got one for you no i got one all right go on then you go for daddy or sweeties daddy or sweeties oh i'll have to say i'll have to say daddy for that one what about you jack what's the answer daddy or sweeties i'll have to answer jack that's probably sweeties no what do you love more mummy or chocolate right so we're just heading down to the lake now last time we were here was seven years ago on my 21st birthday where richard popped the question and we haven't been back since so taking the kids they're over there running along hopefully they don't run into the lake so right over there near the pier is where richard popped the question but pretty sure the pier wasn't here seven years ago we don't remember that so we just had burgers off the barbecue teddy's out here making the biggest biggest mess very mucky and now we've got some chicken on the barbecue as well so all good here is a good example of camping with babies look at those fingernails absolutely caked hey have you been having fun now to get them clean right so we've set up all the beds kids are going up the top on the double bunk me and richard hold on baby escaping me and richard are going up down here on our nice comfy double and then later on we will pull out this little mattress into the middle there for teddy bear although we're not sure he might just uh end up in our bed right so it's day we're trying to literally having no luck what he tried to go to glen ridden but that was pulley bridge and so we managed to find a parking spot so we're now off for a walk we're going to go up dun mallard we've never done that before so we'll check it out i'm gonna go around a million songs if that's the way to be i'll run a class to beat them all and go down in history i'll be the one to reach the stars but only if you're with me tonight yeah we're in trouble oh gosh that way monsters live okay jack you're gonna have to go inside on you first i don't want to be eaten so we're just now heading back to our car park we were gonna head to the shore on old water just over there but you might be able to see it you might not but it's absolutely heaping just jam-packed and it's not really us to be sitting over there with a lot of people around us so uh we're gonna head back to the campsite now i've been out all day and we are pretty tired so we're just gonna chill out for a bit have some food let the kids play and yeah just relax time to buy when we go up so high so free it's where we tried to go yesterday but it was too busy we got here at eight o'clock this morning and it was very busy but we got the last spot and so we've got a nice view of the lake from our side richard's got the kayak we've been really silly and forgotten our what did we forget piper to bring our life jacket so we forgot all our life jackets at the minute really it's probably just richard that's going to be going out in the kayak kids can play in it a little bit like right on the shore just thought i'd come out take the kayak out by myself it's uh it's not bad it's near enough a calm day a little bit of a little bit of wave or swell whatever you want to call it kicking about but the kayaks handling well trackling well and i'm just heading over to norfolk island in the background there there's people on it so hopefully we can get uh tied up and have a little explore before heading back so here we are just arrived at uh norfolk pile i'm actually drifting off the wind is pushing me off it's a little bit choppy actually especially when you go here just going to put this down a second see if i'll get myself uh back to where i need to be we're here in the background there an oyster catcher i actually nest on this island between uh october and july so you're not actually supposed to be on there or march sorry march in july i got it wrong look at that can't get much better than that absolutely wonderful that's norfolk are just behind us not very big pretty small really a few oyster catchers flying about and we'll just uh head round we're getting pushed into the island at the minute so we'll just head on back around and there we are yes darling ducklings fantastic and there we are very nice bit choppy but we made it there we go i'll be able to see it way over in the back there somewhere good little kayak oh we've got we've got the kiddies on board now hey kids we're going this tricked you tricked you tricked you you're not around feelings come out i wish i could say where to figure it out got my head in the clouds when i'm feeling down now that i know a little town's gonna take off lost and found that's what we are city lights and plastic cars tiny people giant stars we don't care about what we find we just need each other's time young and reckless by design dinner time with a view today hey kids what are you up to what are you doing we're peeling the garlic and onions fantastic and what are we going to be cooking curry curry and where are we going to be eating the curry stream is it a stream lake we're gonna go down by the lake which is right there look at that for a view and this is our cooker here because we cannot find a gas bottle for this one so we're temporarily using this which is doing the job
