Oh No, Our Van Windows Are LEAKING! | Citroen Relay | Family Campervan | Installing Windows

Hi guys, how you doing? So yesterday had quite a lot of rain all day, completely right off. Today much better, jumped in the van, do some work and discovered I've got a leaky window. Let's have a look. So what we've got is all of this wetness and dampness down here in the ply. This is hardwood ply so I'm hoping it will be okay and it's obviously come right around all the way around to here. What's quite strange about it is that the windows have been in for six weeks. We live in Cumbria so we get our fair share of rain, no leaks. Up to this point yesterday we just had heavy rain all day so it's probably the amount we had. So obviously we need to get it fixed and find out where the water is coming from. Now what we've already done is using a bit kitchen towel. It's gone up right around the outside like that, nothing. There's a bit of dust on the top there. If there was any water coming down there'd be water marks through that dust and there's nothing. So it basically tells me that from here all the way around all that seal is fine which means I've done a good job at fitting them. Happy days. So what we're going to do now is Kira's going to get out there with a hose. We're going to put the hose on it and we're going to have a look at the actual window slider itself and see if that is the culprit. So let's go for it. So we're going to get started. Let's have a quick look. Kira's out there with the hose. Right let's go in and have a little look, see where this is, see what's happening. Go on then turn it on. Let's have a look, see what's going on. So get it over the top as well, nothing at all from there and there we go. Yeah okay stop. So you can see there that we've got the culprit and the culprit is we have a leaky seal. We have a leaky seal which is not good. So what we're going to have to do is get in touch with Van Pimps who we bought this window from and that window there. Second time we've actually had to get in contact with them because one of the windows when it arrived was smashed so we've already had to get a replacement with that. They were pretty good about it so hopefully we get in contact and get this sorted. The annoying thing about this is it's fitted so if this seal cannot be replaced somehow then I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. Yeah so yeah we'll do an update on this video, let you know how we got on and hopefully we'll get it fixed. Cool.
