It’s a bright, sunny winter’s day in Sydney and I’m finally ticking off some bucket list experiences at The Rocks. 🌞
✨ First stop — MCA Canvas Restaurant with its million-dollar harbour view. ☕ Next — The Tea Cosy, famous for its cozy atmosphere, blankets in winter, and Devonshire scones. 🛍️ And finally — The Rocks Market, with handmade crafts, roasted chestnuts, and street food.
We ended the day with a tram ride to Chinatown for a warm bowl of congee (โจ๊ก) and dumplings — the perfect ending to a fun day with friends. 💕

It's a bright sunny winter's day in Sydney and I'm taking you to one of my favorite place,
The Rocks. I've had a few bucket list items waiting for the right time
and today is the day to finally tick them off. First stop, Circular Quay.
Before meeting my friends, I decided to do a little window shopping.
Circular Quay is where most tourists begin their Sydney adventure. There are souvenir shops,
gift stores and inside the gateway, plenty of shops to browse. Now that my friend has arrived,
it's time for bucket list number one. The MCA cafes and restaurant with the view.
I've seen so many people rave about this place on social media saying you can enjoy a million
dollar view for just the price of a coffee. Naturally, I was curious. When we arrived
at the MCA, I found the cafe on the ground floor but it wasn't the view I've seen online.
So we asked the reception and the concierge explained the cafe is on the ground floor
but the real gem is upstairs on the fourth floor, Canvas Restaurant.
And here we are. The view is just as stunning as I imagined. Overlooking the Sydney harbour,
the restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 4.30pm.
But don't be late, the last orders are at 2.30pm. Luckily, the rooftop is open for photos
so we took full advantage of that. We didn't eat there though because we had another mission.
Bucket list number two, the tea cozy at the rocks. Last Christmas when I brought you around the rocks,
I spotted the tea cozy but I didn't get the chance to try it. Since my friend is here,
it's the perfect opportunity to see if there is a spot worth recommending to visitors.
The tea cozy is charming and cozy especially in winter when they offer blankets to keep you warm.
Their famous Devonshire scones are a must try but the highlight is the high tea with a classic
three-tier stand. Petite sandwiches like curry egg or smoked salmon with cream cheese and dill
are on the menu too. We decided to share Nana's apple pie tea and the scones and the petite
sandwiches. We picked two different flavours. My friend went to the classic strawberry jam
while I chose something more exotic. The atmosphere was so lovely. It honestly felt like
we were transported to Europe and had a high tea with friends in Europe. That's what I love
about the rocks. It always gives a different vibe to Sydney. Here history, art and business
all meet. Imagine working around here every day. Wouldn't that be amazing?
With our tea adventure complete, it was time to bucket list number three. Visiting the rocks
market with friends. I usually come here for business or wander around on my own
but exploring with friends make it so much more memorable.
We browsed the craft stores, grabbing some street food
and the highlight for me was definitely the roasted chestnut. Perfect for winter.
On our way back, we hopped on the tram to Chinatown for dinner.
We shared a big warm bowl of congee which tasted extra delicious when shared and couldn't resist
stopping for some dumplings too. It was such a satisfying way to end the day. Thank you guys
for helping me tick off some of my bucket list items and for making today so memorable.
Until next time.
