Starting off on this lovely Sunday morning, I caught a train from Sydenham station. The air feels fresh and it's a perfect day to explore Sydney. It's amazing what you can notice when you are present in the moment. Once at Circular Quay, I walked down to see a giant Christmas tree in front of the historic custom house. This area always feels festive this time of year. On board the ferry, I joined others on the open deck. The sunshine, sea breeze and million dollar views made this ride unforgettable. At Manly Wharf, the vibe was relaxed and lively. People were soaking up the sun, enjoying their The pottery room was my favourite. Seeing artefacts similar to a Ming dynasty vase my friend owns was fascinating. Currently, the gallery is hosting an exhibition called Hyphenated, showcasing multicultural experiences through art. One piece humorously depicted a head filled with big human poo, a cheeky yet meaningful take. Another work revealed hidden family portraits along with award-winning still life artist Peter Milici. After the event, I couldn't resist stopping at my favourite ice cream shop, Gelatissimo. Sweet treats always make a day better. From there, I hopped on a tram to Central Station and transfer to the Metro back to Sydenham. The free bus replacement for the train home reminded me of how Sydney's transit is always evolving.
