KINGSTON – Democratic State Senator Michelle Hinchey of Saugerties won another term in office on Tuesday.

She said the Democratic majority in the Senate will work to reverse damage done by Republicans in Washington over the last two years.

“Not only are we stepping into the void that the Trump administration has left and the federal administration has left and not really moving policies forward, but we also want to make sure we are protecting and rally working for people here in our community,” she said.

Hinchey, who represents the 41st Senate District, first took office in January 2021.
