MONTICELLO – A steady stream of voters turned out at the Monticello Government Center on Election Day. Voters said it was their right to vote, and some voted to make a change.
Victoria Clarke: “Change. Things need to change.”
Tom Passero: “I voted since I was 18. You know, it’s just something that I regard as a civic duty.”
Maria Flynn: “I voted because we, the people, need a lot of representation. We need a lot of voices in a lot of different areas.”
Suzanne Zaconus: “I think it’s important to vote every year. Which I do. And this is my first time voting in Sullivan County since I just moved here.”
Luis Paez: “I feel that is slightly more important than all the years. All the years it’s like kind of even or something like that. No, on this one, there are a lot of issues that are extremely important in how the nation is going to move on.”
