Kaden Honeycutt has secured his future with TRICON Garage, signing a contract extension that will keep him behind the wheel of the No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro through the 2027 NASCAR Truck Series season. The announcement comes as Honeycutt leads the championship standings, giving the 23-year-old a clear path as he tries to turn a career-best campaign into his first series title.

The extension follows a season in which Honeycutt has become one of the clear drivers to beat. In 22 races, he has secured a total of four victories, 14 top-five finishes and 17 top-10 results, while posting a 7.8 average finish. He enters the final three races with a 39-point advantage over Layne Riggs, a margin that puts the championship within reach, but only if he can maintain his form through the closing stretch.

Honeycutt’s 2026 breakthrough began at Watkins Glen International. He captured his first Truck Series victory there in May, then added another accomplishment on the same day by winning his first ARCA Menards Series race at the road course. He put the No.11 Toyota in victory lane at Richmond Raceway before winning again at Kansas Speedway. His most recent victory came at Phoenix Raceway, where he added to his momentum as the championship fight reached its decisive phase.

Three wins in his last six races have helped Honeycutt establish himself at the front of the field, with his top-five and top-10 totals reflecting consistency that has mattered as much as his trips to victory lane. TRICON’s decision to keep him in the No. 11 gives both driver and team a chance to build on that progress rather than start over. Honeycutt joined the organization for 2026 after spending much of 2025 with Niece Motorsports and making a late-season move to Halmar Friesen Racing.

That final stretch became a turning point: with Stewart Friesen sidelined by injury, Honeycutt stepped into the No. 52 Toyota and helped the team achieve a Championship 4 spot. The result showed what he could do with an opportunity, and his first year with TRICON has taken that promise further. Before reaching the Championship 4 in 2025, Honeycutt had already built experience across several teams and part-time schedules.

The TRICON driver also won the 2024 CARS Tour Pro Late Model championship, adding another milestone to a path through different levels of stock-car racing. Now, the focus is on finishing the job in 2026. The 39-point cushion gives Honeycutt room to manage the final races, but it does not remove the pressure of a championship fight. Talladega Superspeedway is next, followed by the remaining events that will decide whether his first full season with TRICON ends with a title.

With the extension in place, Honeycutt can approach the closing weeks knowing where he will race next year. For TRICON, keeping the current points leader in the No. 11 preserves a proven combination. For Honeycutt, the immediate task remains the same: protect the lead, keep delivering results, and make this his strongest season yet.
