“Our Making Strides event has always been more than just a walk; it’s a movement,” American Cancer Society Senior Development Director Kristi Greco told Mid-Hudson News. “We strive to make it easy for people everywhere to help us fight breast cancer.”
Greco said the $500,000 fundraising goal for the walk will help fight breast cancer on several fronts. “The funding helps support programming for patients and survivors of breast cancer, education, breast cancer research, and helps support everyone affected by breast cancer.”
With a typical fall weather forecast predicted, Greco expects the walk to be a tremendous success. “The outpouring of early support has been steady and we look forward to having a spectacular event. The website provides all of the information needed to help us fight breast cancer.”
