BLOOMING GROVE – A 45-year-old Millrift, Pennsylvania man was killed in a three-car crash on Route 17 in the Town of Blooming Grove, New York State Police said Monday.

The accident occurred at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 3.

Troopers said a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Sean Nelson, rammed into the back of a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder that had stopped due to traffic. That vehicle then crashed into a GMC truck.

Nelson was rushed to Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill where he was pronounced dead.

The driver and passenger in the Nissan were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Blooming Grove Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
