KINGSTON – The Kingston Business Park is going to have a rebirth of sorts as the City of Kingston and the Local Development Corporation have selected as development team to redevelop the facility.

The team, led by Douglaston Development and RUPCO will work on a long-term plan to transform the underutilized park on Delaware Avenue into housing for future development, said Mayor Steven Noble.

The partnership with the LDC, which owns the site, will allow the city to build a mixed-income, mixed-use development that will be able to have both jobs and housing, and really beautiful green space directly adjacent to the Sojourner Truth State Park and our Downtown neighborhood,” he said.

There are some 200 people working at facilities in the park, but there is some 100 acres of available space and with new jobs comes the need for more housing, said the mayor.
