KINGSTON – Three people pleaded guilty Monday to gang assault charges on the morning their trial was scheduled to begin in connection with a May 2025 attack that left a Kingston man with serious injuries and long-term consequences, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office said.

Aalajah Deloatch-Williams, Daivon Ramirez-Jackson and Le’Mar Thomas each pleaded guilty to second-degree gang assault, a Class C violent felony, according to District Attorney Emmanuel C. Nneji.

The charges stem from an assault on May 5, 2025, at Sheehan Court in Kingston. Prosecutors said the victim was walking home from work when the defendants attacked him from behind, beat him and left him motionless on the ground.

The Kingston Police Department investigated the assault, identified the suspects and arrested the three defendants, according to prosecutors. An Ulster County grand jury indicted four people on the top count of second-degree gang assault. The fourth defendant remains at large and is being sought by law enforcement.

The three defendants who pleaded guilty did so before the start of trial, accepting responsibility for their roles in the attack, prosecutors said. Sentencing for all three is scheduled for Nov. 30, 2026, before Ulster County Court Judge Bryan E. Rounds.

Senior Assistant District Attorney Victoria Lang prosecuted the case.
