Los Angeles — The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards opened with a familiar dose of Hollywood glamour as nominees and television personalities made their way to the Peacock Theater for one of the entertainment industry’s biggest nights.

Among the stars drawing attention ahead of the ceremony were Zendaya, Sarah Pidgeon, Elle Fanning, Ayo Edebiri and Keri Russell, each bringing a distinct take on red-carpet style.

The arrivals came before an awards ceremony featuring several major television contenders, including “The Pitt,” the final season of “Hacks,” “Widow’s Bay” and “Pluribus.”

Zendaya’s appearance was particularly anticipated, with attention surrounding the possibility that she might choose an archival fashion piece for the occasion.

Pidgeon was also expected to make a style statement, with her look drawing inspiration from the refined aesthetic associated with Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.

Meanwhile, “Hacks” stars Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs maintained their playful tradition of coordinated appearances. Stalter pushed the concept further, arriving in an outfit inspired by the Emmy statuette.
