CARMEL – Pooches seeking their forever home at the Putnam Humane Society shelter in Carmel celebrated Labor Day in a unique way Monday.
Instead of dining on their usual kibble, staff members and volunteers prepared a BBQ with each dog served a piping hot grilled hot dog.
Humane Society President Michele Dugan said the “dogs loved the hot dogs. We have the best dogs and cats for adoption and the best adoption rates around. Come visit and speak to our dedicated team.”
The Humane Society is on Old Route 6, behind Putnam Plaza Shopping Center, and can be reached at 845-225-7777.
