The Tennessee Titans selected quarterback Will Levis from the Kentucky Wildcats with the 33rd overall selection (second-round pick) in the 2023 NFL Draft. He did not last long with the Titans. He was on Tennessee’s roster for three seasons. Levis was released from the Titans roster on Sunday. He will be looking for a new home elsewhere.

Tennessee only kept two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. Cam Ward will be the starting quarterback, and Mitchell Trubisky will be the backup quarterback for head coach Robert Saleh. Those two quarterbacks will work well in offensive coordinator’s Brian Daboll’ system. It will be interesting to see what the next stop for Levis is going to be. He thought that he was one of the 32 best quarterbacks in the NFL and that turned out not to be the case here. In three seasons with Tennessee, he completed 61.0% of his passes for 3,899 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. He also rushed for 240 yards on 70 carries and one touchdown, along with averaging 3.4 yards per carry.

There are a lot of Titans fans who are not surprised that Levis was released from the roster. This is what some Tennessee fans had to say about him being let go on Twitter:

It was a terrible pick to begin with lol

This just goes to show you anyone that likes mayonnaise in coffee is simply undraftable.

He was right when he said there aren’t 32 qbs better than him there’s about 50 better than him

Never got the right chance imo, 99% of QBs would have failed in that system he was thrown into. Hopefully he can go somewhere to develop properly

Are we for real? I thought he had a shot at beating Ward and competing for QB2. Levis will be a solid QB option for a lot of teams

It will be interesting to see who will want Levis on the roster. Some people think that he could wind up with the New York Jets before the start of the 2026 NFL season. If no one wants Levis after being released from the Titans, then it will be interesting to see if he will continue his football career or not after things didn’t go as planned with Tennessee.
