The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl two seasons ago and quarterback Jalen Hurts was the MVP of that game. Philadelphia last season finished with an 11-6 record and won the NFC East. The Eagles lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card Round. Philadelphia’s offense was not the same last season.

This is the third different offensive coordinator that Hurts has had over the last three seasons. When the Eagles won the Super Bowl, Kellen Moore was the offensive coordinator and last season it was Kevin Patullo. This season, Sean Mannion is the new offensive coordinator, and he was the Green Bay Packers quarterback coach a season ago. With A.J. Brown now out of the picture, the offense is going to look different for Hurts and company this season.

Jason McIntyre Believes That Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Continues To Be Disrespected

Jason McIntyre gave his take on the Herd with Colin Cowherd on FS1 on Monday. He was reviewing the quarterback tiers that FOX Sports listed. Hurts was listed in a tier that was supporting cast dependent. In this category, Kyler Murray of the Minnesota Vikings, Sam Darnold of the Seattle Seahawks, Brock Pirdy of the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Commanders of the Washington Commanders, and some others were listed in that tier. McIntyre believes that Hurts continues to be disrespected. He said,

“I don’t understand the continued disrespect for Jalen Hurts… I think most of the disrespect comes from the fact that he was not a 1st round pick.”

Hurts last season completed 64.8% of his passes for 3,224 yards, 25 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also rushed for 421 yards on 105 carries and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 4.0 yards per carry. Hurts is 28 years old and it remains to be seen if he will bounce back this season. With Brown gone, expect DeVonta Smith to be the top wide receiver in the offense this season and rookie Makai Lemon is still learning the ropes. If Hurts has another average season, people will continue to hate on Philadelphia’s starting quarterback.
