NEWBURGH – A man who jumped from the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge walkway late Saturday morning, has died, State Police said Sunday.
The 59-year-old man was spotted floating in the Hudson River near the bridge in the Town of Newburgh.
He was retrieved from the water by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol Unit and transported to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
