The New York Islanders missed the playoffs last season, but they did something very cool over the off-season. The Islanders organization allowed fans to participate in a jersey design contest. Many fans participated in this contest. This was a third jersey design for the 2027-2028 NHL season. This was the first team to ever do this.

It’s the Islanders… so I love it. But why did the lighthouse have to look like a toddler drew it and it was plucked of the refrigerator??

A white stripe on sleeves and bottom of sweater besides that think it’s sweet maybe a sea foam green inside the collar that read “The Island” on it in blue on the sea foam.
But so long as we get 2 points whenever we have em on, I love em! #LGI

I would like to know when these games are so I do not watch them. Pretty disappointing to see this jersey join the Islanders collection.

It is going to be interesting to see these Islanders players in this uniform in two seasons from now. Hopefully, with this contest happening, other teams could follow suit as well.
