Russia’s embassy in London warned Britain it could face a “higher price” for continuing to support Ukraine after UK-made drones were reportedly used in strikes deep inside Russian territory.

Russia has issued a new warning to the United Kingdom over its military support for Ukraine, saying London could pay a “higher price” if it continues supplying weapons used in attacks deep inside Russian territory.
The warning came from the Russian embassy in London after Ukraine reportedly used British-made drones in strikes against targets inside Russia.
Moscow has increasingly portrayed Britain as one of the most aggressive Western supporters of Kyiv and has warned that the continued expansion of long-range weapons deliveries could produce serious consequences.
The Russian warning was also highlighted in an X post.
Britain has been one of Ukraine’s principal military supporters since the war began, providing Kyiv with increasingly long-range weapons.
Among the systems supplied by London are Storm Shadow cruise missiles, which are capable of striking targets far behind the front lines.
The latest escalation involves drones manufactured in the United Kingdom that Ukraine has reportedly begun using against targets well inside Russian territory.
Russian officials have responded by warning that London’s growing role in enabling long-range Ukrainian attacks increases the risk of direct consequences for Britain.
The dispute fits into a broader pattern in which Moscow has repeatedly accused Western governments of moving beyond merely supplying defensive aid and becoming increasingly involved in Ukraine’s ability to strike Russia itself.
Britain’s involvement in the conflict has drawn particular criticism from Moscow dating back to the earliest months of the war.
In 2022, then-British Prime Minister Boris Johnson became closely associated with Western opposition to a negotiated settlement as Russian and Ukrainian representatives held peace talks in Turkey.
Since then, London has continued expanding the sophistication and range of weapons provided to Kyiv.
The addition of British-made drones capable of reaching targets deeper inside Russia marks another step in that progression.
For Moscow, the significance is not simply the weapon itself but the increasing reach of Ukrainian attacks made possible by equipment supplied by NATO countries.
Russia’s latest warning indicates that it views continued British support for such strikes as an escalation with potential consequences beyond the battlefield in Ukraine.
The embassy’s message that the UK could pay “a higher price” underscores the increasingly confrontational rhetoric between Moscow and London as the war expands into longer-range attacks against Russian territory.
