Former husband arrested in burglary of ex’s home

RAMAPO – Police in the Town of Ramapo arrested a 29-year-old local man on charges that he burglarized his former wife’s residence on Campbell Avenue.

The incident took place at around 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 9.

Jose Victor Jimenez-Rivera had fled the area on foot when police arrived, but he was arrested after a search that included a drone response and K-9 units.

He was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17, burglary of a dwelling, criminal trespassing, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.

Jimenez-Rivera was arraigned and released from custody without bail pending a future court appearance.
