Well, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Tuesday, “ESPN sources: Two-time Pro-Bowl selection Bijan Robinson and the Falcons reached agreement on a three-year extension worth up to $75 million that now will make him the highest-paid running back in NFL history. Robinson will receive a record $51 million guaranteed, including $37 million at signing, in a deal that agent Nicole Lynn and the Falcons have been working hard on to finish up in recent days.” This is not a shock that he got paid. Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs will be next in line to be paid and possibly Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor as well.

Robinson is only 24 years old, and he has a lot of room to grow as a running back. Robinson last season with the Falcons rushed for 1,478 yards on 287 carries and seven touchdowns, along with averaging 5.2 yards per carry. He also caught 79 passes for 820 yards receiving and four touchdowns, along with averaging 10.4 yards per reception. Robinson is a force out of the backfield in the passing game and the running game as well.
He was fifth in the NFL in carries last season and also fourth in rushing yards. Robinson has a great chance to be one of the best running backs for this franchise ever. He rarely misses games for this franchise. Robinson has not been to the playoffs yet in his NFL career yet. He is looking for that to change this season with Kevin Stefanski as his new head coach also.
