Christmas is in the air; there is no doubt about it, and not just this holiday season but the next one too. Next year we are getting a very special present: Peter Dinklage as Santa Claus in the 2027 holiday release Naughty. The film was announced three years ago, and per Variety,
it was described as Bridesmaids set at the North Pole, an interesting comparison indeed.
Yule Be Testifying

While Dinklage is set to give us his best Santa Claus, the film stars Jennifer Aniston as Mallory, a woman with quite a bit on her plate whose situation calls for a hefty dose of holiday magic. As the plot synopsis puts it,
“Naughty centers on Mallory, whose “only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trash-bag ex is to find Santa Claus and convince him to testify in her divorce hearing.”
With Dinklage’s offbeat wit, tinged with his signature sarcastic persona, and Aniston’s big personality, the film holds the propensity to be quite humorous.

Of course, a premise like that needs the right people pulling the strings. The director is Olivia Wilde, and the screenplay is an original straight from the pen of Jimmy Warden, who penned the offbeat comedy Cocaine Bear. As for the stars, both have been quite busy pouring into their craft and building their portfolios. Aniston has contributed her visionary talents to the award-winning series The Morning Show, and per Variety,
“The casting update comes as Emmy and Golden Globe winner Aniston wraps up her tenure as executive producer and star of The Morning Show with its forthcoming fifth and final season on Apple TV.”
Dinklage, meanwhile, has been spending time building his character for Alien: Earth, which has been defined as a key role.
Have Yourself a Merry Little Release Date
So whatever will fans get out of this interesting project? The titular figure of yuletide cheer, played by an actor who made Tyrion Lannister of Game of Thrones effortlessly his own, sets the imagination revving, for sure. There is still quite a bit of time before it premieres, dated for November 5, 2027. But with all the drear in the world, it is more than heartwarming to hear that the promise of holidays future lends to all a cup of cheer.
