The Democrat party has transformed into an unrecognizable party. Those of us who grew up knowing or related to Democrats of the past, remember when the party was filled with people you could disagree with, but otherwise have a civil meal with, and then go on our merry way after dessert.
Those days are long gone. I don’t think I need to go into detail about where the Democrats are now. They do that enough every time they have a dude in a dress, get on TV and reveal he/she/it is running for office on the Democrat ticket.
The Democrats seemed to have embraced everything that normal, erudite society was smart enough to avoid, and claim it as the way of life everyone should be living. Opponents of these life choices are the enemy, and must be destroyed. That’s the Democrats mantra, and it works…for them.
One such lifestyle – if you can call it that – is Socialism. The Democrats have embraced Socialism, and even made up a new political party dedicated to it. Democratic Socialists of America [DSA]. So now it appears as though America now has three political parties instead of just two.
Granted, we do have Libertarians and Independents, but those aren’t taken all that seriously, and they don’t hold much weight in elections. Though they should be as those voters are loyal to no party, and the main parties need to be aware of this, and cater to those voters more than to others.
SOCIALISM VS COMMUNISM
Many people think they’re one in the same. Which is true, but only slightly. Let’s take a moment and define the difference between the two, and thus, have a clear understanding exactly what it is the 2026 Democrats seem to be clutching onto.

The main difference is that under communism, most property and economic resources are owned and controlled by the state (rather than individual citizens); under socialism, all citizens share equally in economic resources as allocated by a democratically-elected government.” ~thoughtco.com
So as you can see, both give the people a sense of ownership of factors of economic production, but ultimate control of said production and distribution still falls on the government. Thinking people can see the potential troubles with that concept, but Democrats appear to either not be able to, or are just plain unwilling to admit that they are really just giving total control of their lives to the government.
THERE’S PSYCHOLOGY HERE
The majority of Democrats have gleefully embraced Socialism, in fact 52% is the number at this writing, and 43% reject it. That leaves 5% undecided? Regardless, 52% of 2026 Democrats want Socialism, and want it so bad, they elect people like Zohran Mamdani [NYC Mayor] and Kaite Wilson [Seattle Mayor] for example.
But why? Why have the majority of the Democrat party chosen to let Socialists not only into their party, but to be elected leaders of municipalities under their party name? It makes one wonder until we remember what has happened recently.
Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. Evidence is being revealed that he did beat Biden in 2020, and there was Chinese government interference in that election, but that’s for another article.
Nonetheless, the orange-haired, mean man from NYC beat prominent Democrats for the highest political office, and Democrats are furious. So furious in fact, Democrat men started wearing makeup and dresses, and Democrat women started dying their hair and wearing septum rings.
But 2026 Democrats haven’t just embraced Socialism. No, they’ve taken their acceptance of Socialism to new levels, and now appear to be almost Codependent of Socialism.
Codependency is a dysfunctional relationship dynamic in which one person assumes the role of “the giver,” sacrificing their own needs and well-being for the sake of the other, “the taker.” See how this fits?
2026 Democrats aren’t really in love with Socialism, but they have become codependent on it, and that will only make it that much more difficult for them to break up with it when they finally realize how bad it really is for them.
DELUSION DOESN’T HELP EITHER
Bernie Sanders, a long time, self declared Socialist, was recently on Face the Nation. Bernie loves to be on TV, and nowadays, he’s more than willing to speak for the people, and tell the world how we feel, and what we need.
This is the same Bernie Sanders who says Health Care should be free, just like in Europe and Canada. But what Bernie refuses to reveal is, yes, health care is free in those places, but health care is abysmal in Europe and Canada.
It takes very long just to get an appointment, and good luck seeing a Specialist before the tumor enlarges or metastasizes to somewhere else in the body. In some countries, if you made the appointment for a sore joint, but other symptoms have presented in time you were waiting for an appointment, you and your GP can’t discuss it, because you only have 10 minutes in this consultation, so make another appointment, and we’ll discuss the new symptom then.
Bernie also went on to say that Americans are sick of the horrible way of life we’re somehow being forced to live under Trump, and Socialism is the answer because under Socialism, everything is FREE.
I guess Bernie has never seen the bread lines that still exist in Socialist countries. You know, the bread lines where people are queued up for hours just in hopes to buy food for the day. Yeah, Bernie America wants bread lines again. So many Americans want to live like they did during the Great Depression, Bernie? Delusion is curable, Bernie. Seek help.
2026 DEMOCRATS
The Democrat party has transformed. Not completely, but it’s getting worse. Like a Cancer diagnosis that spreads to other parts of the body. The Democrats of yesterday, who still exist today, but are now embarrassed to claim it.
Many have jumped ship and gone Independent, or even Republican. They’ve seen what the 2026 party does to Democrats like Sen John Fetterman (D-PA) who don’t jump on the bandwagon, and champion the new Democrat narrative, and want no part of it.
52% of 2026 Democrats want Socialism here in America, even though 43% of Democrats don’t, and neither do 77% of Independents. Granted, 52% is a majority, but there’s still 5% undecided, and 77% of voters who have loyalty to no party is a huge number.
2026 Democrats can’t or won’t see the danger there, but thinking, erudite Democrats and Republicans can and will. And that’s what could be a threat to Democrats this November when voters hit the booths for the mid-term elections.
