Can psychedelics transform the future of mental health treatment?
In this episode of The Truth with John Gordon, John sits down with Dr. Tracy Scott—PhD, researcher, shamanic practitioner, and founder of Revela Retreats in Costa Rica—to explore the growing role of psychedelic medicine in treating trauma, addiction, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
Dr. Scott explains how therapies involving iboga, ayahuasca, and psilocybin are helping some individuals address deep-rooted trauma and addiction when conventional treatments have fallen short. She also walks viewers through what a psychedelic healing journey actually looks like, how participants prepare for treatment, and the integration process that follows.
The conversation also examines President Donald Trump’s Accelerating Medical Treatments for Serious Mental Illness Executive Order and what it could mean for the future of psychedelic-assisted therapies in America.
Whether you’re curious about psychedelic research, alternative mental health treatments, trauma recovery, addiction healing, or the science behind consciousness, this is a fascinating discussion on one of medicine’s fastest-growing frontiers.
