The Los Angeles Dodgers have a 63-38 record this season. Los Angeles has won two straight World Series titles, and they are looking to win a third straight. This franchise is looking to be the first team to three-peat since the New York Yankees accomplished that goal from 1998-2000. The Dodgers will no doubt look to be big game hunting once again at the MLB trade deadline.

One player that Los Angeles could potentially trade for this deadline is Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal. Skubal is 29 years old and he is entering the final year of his contract with Detroit. There is a chance that the Tigers decide not to trade him. In the fair chance that they do, there is no question that the Dodgers will be in the sweepstakes. So far this season with Detroit, he has pitched in 14 games. Skubal has thrown 82.2 innings and has given up 66 hits and 29 runs. Skubal has only walked 11 batters and has struck out 98 batters. His WHIP is 0.93.
MLB Analyst Lists the Los Angeles Dodgers as a Potential Trade Destination for the Los Angeles Dodgers

Dayn Perry of CBS Sports wrote about which MLB teams could potentially be in the sweepstakes for Skubal before the MLB trade deadline. To no one’s surprise, Perry listed the Dodgers as one of the top trade destinations for the Tigers ace. Perry said,
“If it’s a big name possibly on the move, then we’re honor-bound to cite the Dodgers as a possible destination. The Dodgers once again have plenty of upside in their loaded-on-paper rotation, but true to form, they also have plenty of injury concerns. The Dodgers, in addition to winning back-to-back World Series titles, also have a strong farm system from which to deal. Skubal would give them a known quantity No. 1 starter in the playoffs, and the rest they can figure out based on who’s healthy among other big names like Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, and Tyler Glasnow. “
It is not a surprise that the Dodgers would go big-game hunting once again. The top five prospects for Los Angeles are outfielder Josue De Paula, outfielder Mike Sirota, outfielder Zyhir Hope, outfielder Eduardo Quintero, and shortstop Emil Morales. There is a chance that the Tigers would ask for one or two of those prospects in return for Skubal.
Detroit is going to have to make a decision in where to trade him to. There are a lot of Dodgers fans who would love to have him, but many other MLB fans want to see him go anywhere but Los Angeles.
