President Donald Trump used two Truth Social posts to denounce communism and warn that left-wing candidates gaining traction in Democrat-led states would worsen conditions in those areas.

President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning against communism late Tuesday and early Wednesday, saying left-wing candidates are gaining support in Democrat-controlled states while pledging that the United States will not become a communist country.

In a pair of Truth Social posts, Trump returned to a message he has emphasized throughout his political career: that the United States must reject socialism and communism and protect the principles of freedom, free enterprise and constitutional government.

“Many Communists running in badly failing Blue States. The votes seem to have them doing quite well against each other. The bad news is that history has conclusively shown that the downtrodden States that they will soon be running will ONLY GET WORSE. MAGA!” Trump wrote late Tuesday.

Trump did not name specific candidates in the post. His comments came as high-profile races in heavily Democratic states and cities have featured progressive and leftist candidates, a development Trump and his allies have frequently cited while arguing that the Democratic Party has moved further left.

The president has repeatedly said policies advanced by the political left have contributed to crime, economic strain and declining quality of life in Democrat-led jurisdictions.

Hours after his first post, Trump delivered a broader statement about the country’s future.

“America the Beautiful will NEVER be a Communist Country!!!” Trump wrote early Wednesday on Truth Social.

The message reflected Trump’s long-running argument that communist and socialist ideologies are incompatible with American prosperity, individual liberty and limited government. He has frequently contrasted his “America First” agenda with what he describes as the Democratic Party’s leftward shift.

Trump’s opposition to communism has been a recurring part of his campaign speeches, rallies and social media messaging. His warnings have resonated with some voters whose families fled communist regimes, including Cuban Americans and Venezuelan Americans who view socialism and communism through personal or family experiences outside the United States.

The posts also underscored Trump’s continued focus on free markets and limited government as central themes of his political movement. He has argued that those principles are necessary to preserve American strength, economic opportunity and global leadership.

Trump’s latest remarks indicate that warnings about communist influence in U.S. politics will remain part of his message as he continues drawing a contrast between his agenda and the left-wing policies he says are gaining ground in Democratic strongholds.
