BEACON – Firefighters in Southern Dutchess County extinguished a three-level exterior rear wooden porch fire just before 1 a.m. this morning (Monday).
Fire Chief Thomas Luchesi said crews responded to the 215 Main Street fire within two minutes and sounded a second alarm.
Firefighters brought it under control and prevented further extension, the chief said.
There were injuries reported and the cause remains under investigation.
Assisting Beacon were firefighters from Castle Point, and Village of Fishkill, with Glenham providing standby coverage.
City of Beacon Medic 1 and Beacon Volunteer Ambulance also responded to the scene.
