Los Ángeles Azules, Belinda and Elena Rose to Headline Historic Cross-Border Concert Event
Mexico City, June 2026:
The road to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ will officially begin with a spectacular celebration of football and music as Mexico City prepares to host one of the headline events of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Countdown Concert series on June 10.
The landmark event, organized by FIFA in collaboration with the Grammys®, will simultaneously connect fans across Canada, Mexico and the United States through live performances, special appearances and shared celebrations marking one year until the opening of the world’s biggest football tournament.
At the heart of the Mexico City festivities will be the highly anticipated México Vibra concert at the iconic Auditorio Nacional. Fans attending the event are encouraged to arrive from 5:00 PM local time to experience the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert, which will serve as a special opening segment before the main programme begins.
Leading the celebrations in Mexico City will be renowned Mexican music group Los Ángeles Azules, joined by popular artists Belinda and Elena Rose, along with a surprise special guest whose identity remains under wraps.
The concert is designed to showcase Mexico’s vibrant cultural heritage while building excitement for the first FIFA World Cup to be jointly hosted by three nations. Through live broadcast connections with Toronto and Los Angeles, fans will participate in a synchronized celebration spanning North America.
Jurgen Mainka, FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Tournament Officer for Mexico, highlighted the significance of the event.
“Mexico City is one of the most passionate football cities in the world, where music and football are deeply ingrained in the culture. This Countdown Concert will bring that spirit to life, uniting fans and artists in a celebration that reflects Mexico’s hospitality, cultural richness and the excitement building across the country.”
The Mexico City Host Committee has developed México Vibra as a flagship cultural event aimed at celebrating the nation’s rich musical traditions. The concert will feature artists from multiple generations and genres, taking audiences on a journey through the evolution of Mexican music while showcasing the country’s artistic diversity.
The celebration forms part of a wider FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert series taking place across the three host nations. In Canada, previously announced performers for the Toronto event include Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi with Sanjoy, Vegedream, and a special collaboration between AHI and Wyclef Jean. Additional performers for the United States event are expected to be announced shortly.
The concerts will feature internationally acclaimed artists appearing on the Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Album alongside global performers and special guests.
Fans worldwide will be able to watch the celebrations live through FIFA’s global broadcast and digital platforms. The event will also be livestreamed globally via the FIFA World Cup TikTok account, with TikTok serving as the exclusive social media livestream partner.
