GARRISON- A Town of Poughkeepsie contractor will be installing drainage along sections of South Mountain Pass and East Mountain Road South in Garrison following action taken by the Philipstown Town Board.
Ben Ciccone Inc. bid $564,550 for the drainage projects, besting three other bidders for the projects included in the municipality’s plan to pave sections of both dirt roads.
Town officials have also set a public hearing for June 4 for Cablevision of Wappingers Falls to provide Optimum service to residents and businesses throughout greater Philipstown for the next 10 years.
Once approved by the state Public Service Commission, the contract will require Cablevision to pay the town each year 5 percent of its gross receipts from the previous year. The town has budgeted $130,000 in revenue from the agreement this year.
