Kyle Busch put on a masterclass at Dover Motor Speedway, turning the Craftsman Truck Series Ecosave 200 into a statement performance. After setting the fastest pace in qualifying with a record-breaking 22.258-second lap, he translated that raw speed directly into race conditions. He dictated the flow of the entire event, sweeping the early stages and maintaining control through every restart.
Conquering the Monster Mile takes heavy discipline. Dover’s high-banked concrete layout is notoriously hard on equipment, meaning a slight misjudgment or a sudden loose condition can instantly destroy a race car. Busch managed his pace perfectly, conserving his tires and picking his lanes to keep the field at bay.
By the time the race reached its conclusion, the Spire Motorsports driver had built an advantage of over three seconds on the rest of the field. The crowd broke into a massive ovation as Busch climbed out of his No. 7 Chevrolet on the frontstretch to deliver his signature bow. The victory clearly carried extra weight for the veteran, who candidly noted during his pit road interview that his recent Cup Series dry spell had changed his perspective on winning.
“You never know when the last one is, I know all too well, unfortunately, with the Cup stuff, but here with the Truck stuff now, it’s awesome to be part of Spire Motorsports,” Busch said.
Busch clearly enjoyed getting back to his winning ways, even throwing a lighthearted jab at a Cup Series rival. He joked that it was nice to see a different driver, Kyle, celebrating in Victory Lane, adding that Dover has always ranked among his favorite tracks on the NASCAR schedule. While Spire celebrated, ThorSport Racing also showed it is a force to be reckoned with.
Ty Majeski spent the race hunting the leader, looking for any opening to make a move. A runner-up result wasn’t the win he wanted after starting on the front row, but it gave him his fifth top-10 finish of the 2026 season and proved he can match the pace of a multi-time champion. Majeski’s performance mirrors the strength of the entire ThorSport organization this year. The team has consistently brought fast trucks to the racetrack, fighting for podium positions week in and week out.
The rest of the order saw plenty of movement behind the top two, with Riggs securing P3, Honeycutt in P4 followed by Bell, Jones, Eckes, Lajoie, Garcia, and Haley to cap the top-ten. With Majeski consistently fighting at the front and the rest of the ThorSport stable matching that front-running speed, the team has all the pieces in place to find the winner’s circle very soon.
