Authorities and family members are seeking urgent public assistance after a young boy was reportedly taken during a supervised visit in Cuernavaca.

An active search is underway in Cuernavaca, Morelos, after 6-year-old John Oehlenschlager, a U.S. citizen, was reported missing following a scheduled visitation with his father at a local court facility.
The incident occurred April 17 at the Family Guidance Department of the Superior Court of Justice in Cuernavaca. According to information provided by the family, the child was participating in a court-arranged visit with his father, identified as Benoit Allouche, when he was allegedly taken around 1:00 p.m.
Officials in Cuernavaca have initiated search protocols, while the child’s family has called for expanded public awareness to assist in locating him.
John is described as approximately 1.19 meters tall, weighing 20 kilograms, with long dark blonde hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a blue T-shirt, black shorts, and blue shoes featuring the Spider-Man character.
His mother, Macey Ambur Lee Oehlenschlager, has expressed concern about the child’s safety, citing ongoing investigations related to domestic violence. She indicated that prior incidents have raised concerns about the child’s well-being and vulnerability.
Family members also warned of a potential attempt to leave Mexico. There are concerns that the suspect could try to cross into another country, including Guatemala, or travel internationally.
