KINGSTON – An Ellenville man has been indicted by an Ulster County grand jury for killing his girlfriend, Nicole Perez, on March 27, in her bedroom while her two little girls slept in the room next door.
Michael Carman then hid the victim’s death from her friends and family the following weekend, used her car and credit cards and fled to South Carolina initially then to Florida where he was apprehended by local law enforcement working with New York State Police and Ulster County DA investigators.
Carman was extradited to Ulster on April 13 to face criminal prosecution and remains in the county jail pending further proceedings.
