Once upon a time, in a green forest, there was a small stream flowing gently. Over the stream, there was a very narrow wooden bridge. It was so narrow that only one animal could cross at a time.

One morning, a black goat came from one side of the bridge, and a white goat came from the other side. They both stepped onto the bridge and met right in the middle.

The black goat frowned and said loudly:
– Hey! Move aside! Let me go first!
The white goat shook its head and said:
– No! You should move! I want to go first!
They looked at each other angrily. Neither of them wanted to give way.
The black goat said:
– If you don’t move, I will bump into you!
The white goat replied:
– I’m not afraid!
Then both goats lowered their heads and rushed forward. *Bang!* They bumped into each other very hard.

The bridge shook and wobbled. Both goats almost slipped and fell into the stream!
They quickly held on tight to the bridge.
The white goat said in a shaky voice:
– Oh no! If we keep fighting, we will both fall!
The black goat said, breathing fast:
– You’re right… this is too dangerous.

They stayed quiet for a moment. Then the black goat said gently:
– Maybe… I can lie down, and you can walk over me first.
The white goat was surprised, then smiled:
– Thank you! I will be very careful.
The black goat lay down. The white goat carefully walked over.

And so both goats crossed the bridge safely.
The white goat said happily:
– I’m glad we stopped in time!
The black goat nodded:
– Yes, from now on, we should be kind and take turns.
From that day on, the two goats became good friends.
