The Starry Valley Wakes Up

Every morning, when the first sunlight touched the Starry Valley, the magical world sparkled as if it had been sprinkled with glitter. Little clouds drifted slowly across the sky, wind chimes rang softly, and tiny fairies fluttered about, ready to begin their day.

In the middle of the valley lived a little fairy named Mila. She had thin, transparent wings, so light that even a gentle breeze made them tremble. Mila was hardworking and kind, but deep inside, she had a secret fear: she was afraid of making mistakes and being scolded.

One morning, the Fairy Queen summoned Mila. Her voice was gentle but serious.
“Mila, please take the Dewdrop of Truth to the Mirror Lake before the sun rises too high.”

The Dewdrop of Truth was a precious treasure. It was as small as a fingertip and as clear as crystal. With it, Mirror Lake could reflect the true nature of anyone who looked into it. Without the dewdrop, the lake would grow cloudy, and the whole valley would lose its way.

She took a deep breath and whispered to herself: “I will do my very best.”

As she flew along, Mila met Little Wind, a playful breeze that loved to tease the fairies. Little Wind spun around her and giggled.

“Stop it, Little Wind!”.

But "crash!" a sudden strong gust pushed the bottle against a tree branch. The bottle did not break, but the lid popped open. The Dewdrop of Truth fell out and disappeared into the grass, as if it had never existed.

Mila froze. Her heart beat fast as she looked around.
“Oh no… If I tell anyone, they will be so disappointed…”

Instead of flying back, Mila searched quietly. She lifted leaves, asked the shiny beetles for help, and examined every tiny drop of dew she could find.

But the Dewdrop of Truth was gone.
As the sun climbed higher, Mirror Lake began to turn cloudy. Fairies lost their way, and the glowing paths of light in the valley became tangled and confused.
Mila watched with a heavy heart. Her wings no longer sparkled as they once had.

At last, Mila gathered her courage and flew to the Fairy Queen. Trembling, she bowed her head.
“My Queen… I dropped the Dewdrop of Truth. I was afraid, so I didn’t tell the truth right away.”
She waited for a scolding.

But the Fairy Queen smiled kindly and said,
“Thank you for telling the truth, Mila. Honesty always takes courage.”
At that very moment, Mirror Lake became clear again, and the valley filled with light. A new Dewdrop of Truth appeared born from the bravery of speaking honestly.

Mila felt her wings grow lighter and brighter. She understood that telling the truth always brings the light back.
That evening, Mila sat beside Mirror Lake, watching the stars shimmer on the water. She smiled and whispered,
“I will always tell the truth, no matter how hard it is.”
