Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia has provided intelligence support to Iran that may have been used to target U.S. military installations, raising concerns about expanding coordination between Moscow and Tehran.

According to The Guardian, Zelenskyy stated that Russia supplied Iran with sensitive information, including satellite imagery of U.S. military positions and infrastructure in the region. He suggested the intelligence was used to facilitate Iranian targeting of American assets.

“I said this publicly. Did we hear a reaction from the U.S. to Russia that they have to stop it?” Zelenskyy said during an interview on “The Rest is Politics.”

“The problem is they trust [Russian President Vladimir] Putin. And it’s a pity.”

Zelenskyy’s comments reflect ongoing concerns from Kyiv about strengthening ties between Moscow and Tehran and the potential implications for broader regional security.

Russia has simultaneously criticized U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran. Newsweek reported that Russian officials described the recent U.S.-brokered ceasefire as a “crushing defeat” for Western policy while calling for a diplomatic resolution.

Analysts have also noted economic benefits for Moscow tied to the conflict. The Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air reported that Russia has generated billions in additional energy revenue as disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz drove up global oil prices.

Zelenskyy warned that Russia’s ambitions extend beyond Ukraine, arguing that concessions in the ongoing war could encourage further territorial expansion. He said Moscow could target additional regions if left unchecked.

Despite those concerns, the United States has focused on stabilizing the Middle East, where a two-week ceasefire between the U.S., Israel, and Iran remains in place.

President Donald Trump has said the pause in hostilities is intended to support negotiations toward a broader agreement, emphasizing that U.S. military objectives have largely been achieved.

As part of the temporary truce, Iran agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping lane, with further negotiations expected to take place in Pakistan.

Zelenskyy called for a more unified Western response to Russia, urging closer coordination among European nations and allies to counter Moscow’s influence as conflicts in multiple regions continue to intersect.
