Activist Group’s Shocking Blueprint: Leaked Slides Demand ‘Structural Change’ to U.S. for ‘Eco-Socialism’ and Multi-Racial Democracy

Documents detail proposed tactics, timelines, and political scenarios as organizers prepare for nationwide demonstrations.

Newly obtained materials from a Sunrise Movement membership meeting outline a strategy calling for a “political revolution” and structural changes to the United States, including coordinated activism tied to upcoming May Day demonstrations.

According to documents obtained by Defending Education, and first reported by Fox News, the organization describes its “grand objective” as achieving “eco-socialism,” a “multi-racial democracy,” and the passage of Green New Deal legislation. The presentation calls for efforts “to structurally change the foundations of this country.”

The materials outline a phased approach to achieving these goals. In what is described as “Phase 1,” the group identifies priorities including “Stop Trump’s grip on power,” building toward “mass noncooperation” through protests such as May Day, and leveraging the 2026 midterm elections to “win big.” A second phase, projected for 2028, includes plans for “mass strikes” and increased voter turnout. Later phases describe a “political revolution” between 2029 and 2031, followed by a transition to what is labeled “The New System” beginning in 2032.

The documents also detail specific tactics targeting corporations and institutions. One slide references strategies such as “booking and cancelling reservations at Hilton Hotels” as part of broader pressure campaigns. Another calls on college students to push universities to end contracts with companies identified as “ICE enablers like Hilton” in an effort to “topple the corporate pillar.”

Additional materials describe escalating actions tied to a timeline beginning with a March 28, 2026, “No Kings” event and culminating in May Day demonstrations on May 1. The organization has promoted mass participation in coordinated protests and economic disruption as part of these efforts.

The presentation also outlines three potential political scenarios. One scenario, described as a “full dictatorship,” envisions future elections being contested, with claims of military involvement in domestic governance and restrictions on speech. Another scenario, labeled a “seesaw democracy,” describes alternating political control with limited governing effectiveness. A third scenario, identified as the group’s preferred outcome, calls for “mass noncooperation and huge electoral turnout” leading to systemic political changes.

Rhyen Staley, director of research at Defending Education, expressed concern about the implications of the materials. “While calls for a ‘political revolution’ by left-wing activist groups are not unique, these coordinated plans to put economic and social pressure on universities to achieve a socialist ‘democracy’ should raise serious concerns,” Staley said. “Our academic institutions should be places of higher learning, discovery, and robust debate around ideas and policies, not weaponized or punished to achieve a ‘structural change’ to the political foundations of this country.”

The Sunrise Movement has previously drawn scrutiny from lawmakers. Reporting cited by Fox News indicated that House Judiciary Committee leadership sought records related to left-wing advocacy groups, including concerns over alleged ties to Antifa.

The group has also been associated with broader protest activity, including organizing efforts linked to anti-ICE demonstrations and student walkouts. Additional materials referenced in a Sunrise Movement training guide encourage recurring activism aimed at disrupting “business as usual,” as detailed here and here.

Organizers have called for a nationwide strike on May 1, aligning with the traditional May Day observance historically associated with labor movements and political activism. At a rally in St. Paul, Minnesota, in late March, Indivisible co-founder Ezra Levin encouraged participation in planned actions, as shown in remarks shared on Instagram.

“I want everyone here to put this on their calendar… It is a tactical goal, an escalation… It is an economic show of force,” Levin said. “On May 1, on May Day, we are saying, ‘No business as usual.’ No work, no school, no shopping.”

The materials and related organizing efforts highlight coordinated planning for demonstrations and activism in the coming months, with May Day identified as a focal point for large-scale participation.
