POUGHKEEPSIE – A prisoner at the maximum-security state Greenhaven Correctional Facility in the Town of Beekman has been indicted by a Dutchess County grand jury for allegedly tossing urine at a nurse and a corrections officer, splashing both of them.
Cain Carothers, 25, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate.
The incidents occurred on March 20, 2025.
The case was investigated by the State Police. Carothers was remanded without bail to the Dutchess county Jail pending a future court appearance.
