President Donald Trump stated on Friday that more than 32,000 people have been killed in Iran during anti-regime protests that began in December 2025 and faced a severe government crackdown starting January 8.

“It’s a very bad situation… they killed over 32,000 people… they are going to hang 837 people,” President Trump told the media on Friday.

The United States has been exerting pressure on Iran to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons, which Trump described as a serious threat to the Middle East. He also accused Iran of violating guidelines related to uranium enrichment.

Meanwhile, U.S. warplanes have been deployed to the Middle East. The U.S. Navy’s 1,000-foot-long aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, is currently positioned approximately 175 miles off the west coast of Morocco. This location places it on a strategic route toward the Strait of Gibraltar—a narrow waterway connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea—and onward into the Mediterranean itself. The Strait of Gibraltar is a critical chokepoint for naval operations, allowing access to key areas in the Middle East and enabling rapid response capabilities in potential conflict zones.

At the same time, Israel has warned Iran against any potential strikes on Israeli territory. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that if any attack occurs on Israel, the consequences will be severe.

On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi indicated progress in talks with the United States.

According to recent reports from The Guardian, Iran is preparing a nuclear counterproposal as the U.S. considers limited military strikes.

Meanwhile, although protests have been suppressed within Iran, the international community continues to mobilize outside the country, demanding freedom for Iranians from the regime.

At a mass gathering in Germany, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi stated, “I was proud to represent the people of Iran at the @MunSecConf to ensure that world leaders, policymakers, and the media heard their voice. I wasn’t alone, but with 250,000 of my compatriots.”

The Islamic regime, in power since 1979, has been accused of violating human rights, imposing draconian laws on women, and subjecting ordinary civilians to torture. With reports of 3,000 people killed in a short period, the world is closely watching for what comes next.
