In a major breakthrough, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met Iran’s exile crown prince Reza Pahlavi on Friday — extending his full support to the agitating people in Iran who are fighting against the Islamic Republican regime.
The meeting occurred after the Iranian regime recently killed over 20,000 of its citizens as a move to crack down on the escalating protests.
“I met with @PahlaviReza, the Crown Prince of Iran in exile, in Munich,” said Zelensky in a post. “Ukraine stands with the people of Iran in their struggle for their future, and we sympathize with all the victims of the Iranian regime.”
The two leaders talked about Iran’s situation and the importance of tightening the sanctions on Iran.
Original article“During the conversation, we focused on the situation in Iran and the areas where the Iranian people need support,” he said.
“We discussed the importance of intensifying sanctions against the Iranian regime and any other dictatorial regime, and we also condemned the cooperation between Russia and Iran, including the supply of “Shahed” drones by the Iranian regime to Russia and the transfer of the relevant production license. Such cooperation poses a real threat not only to Ukraine, but to the entire region,” added Zelensky.
