Former Congressman Ron Paul says Americans are increasingly turning toward a “freedom alternative” as he joins Tucker Carlson to discuss foreign policy, the Federal Reserve and the future of the liberty movement.

Former U.S. Congressman Ron Paul of Texas appeared this week on The Tucker Carlson Show, where he discussed the direction of the country, the evolution of the liberty movement and what he described as the decline of the current political establishment.

During the program, Carlson played archival footage of Paul speaking in 2002 and remarked that Paul “was right,” describing him as ahead of his time on issues including foreign policy and monetary policy. A clip from the episode was shared on X and can be viewed here.

Carlson referenced correspondence contained in the Epstein files, reading from an email in which Jeffrey Epstein and an associate criticized Paul for opposing war with Iran in support of Israel. Carlson used the exchange to frame Paul’s longstanding non-interventionist foreign policy stance.

Before introducing Paul, Carlson delivered a monologue outlining Paul’s career as a physician, congressman and three-time presidential candidate, noting his influence on a generation of libertarian-leaning voters. The conversation then shifted to the Federal Reserve and central banking policy, with Carlson asking Paul about the private structure of the institution and its influence over the U.S. economy.

Paul also addressed what he characterized as systemic failures in the American education system and discussed individuals in Washington whom he considers truth tellers. The discussion expanded to U.S. foreign policy, military spending, the role of the defense industry, monetary reform through gold and silver, and the broader direction of the American economy.

“The system is coming to an end and more and more people are looking at the freedom alternative,” Paul said during the interview. “The bad news is, it’s entrenched and there’s going to be a lot of havoc that goes through the country finding those people” willing to step forward.

A second segment from the full interview was also posted to X and can be viewed here.

Following the appearance, Paul wrote on X, “It was great to speak with you Tucker. Thanks for having me on your program,” in a post that can be seen here.

The full interview is available through Carlson’s platform and includes an extended discussion of economic policy, war powers, civil liberties and the future of political realignment in the United States.
