The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks arrived in San Jose, California, on Sunday, officially kicking off a week of buildup and preparation for Super Bowl LX, which will be played nearby in Santa Clara. Their arrivals marked the beginning of one of the most anticipated weeks on the NFL calendar, as both teams turned their full attention to the season’s biggest stage.

The Patriots were the first to touch down, stepping off their plane into partly sunny conditions as players and coaches made their way through the airport with a businesslike focus. A short time later, the Seahawks landed following a spirited send-off back in Seattle, where fans gathered despite cloudy weather to cheer the team on before its departure. Seattle’s arrival came roughly 90 minutes after New England’s, bringing both Super Bowl participants together in the Bay Area.

With travel complete, attention now turns to the media spotlight. Both teams are scheduled to speak publicly on Monday during Super Bowl Opening Night, the traditional launch of game-week events that places players and coaches front and center before fans and reporters from around the world. The sessions will begin several days of interviews, practices, and promotional appearances leading up to kickoff.

For the Seahawks, the matchup carries a sense of history. This will be their first Super Bowl appearance since losing to the Patriots in the championship game 11 years ago, adding an extra layer of motivation as they look to settle an old score. New England, meanwhile, enters the game as the underdog but with far more Super Bowl experience, chasing a record seventh title and its first championship since the 2019 season.

Super Bowl LX is set to kick off on February 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET (2230 GMT), capping a week of anticipation as two franchises with intertwined history prepare to meet once again on football’s biggest stage.
