MILTON – A 68-year-old Milton man has been arrested by the State Police for attempting to engage in sexual misconduct with a minor.
Investigators said Matthew Hersh allegedly communicated with someone he believed to be a minor and arranged a meeting for inappropriate sexual conduct. On Jan. 16, he traveled to a Middletown motel for the meeting and was arrested without incident, then taken to the State Police barracks in Middletown for processing.
Harsh has been charged with attempted rape and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in the City of Middletown Court, where bail was set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 secured bond, or $10,000 partially secured bond.
