Federal authorities have arrested two individuals in connection with a disruption of a church service at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, following directives issued by Attorney General Pam Bondi, according to public statements released Wednesday.
Bondi announced that federal agents executed an arrest earlier in the day, identifying Nekima Levy Armstrong as an alleged organizer of what she described as a coordinated attack on the church. In a public statement, Bondi said the arrest was carried out by agents from Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
“Minutes ago at my direction, HSI and FBI agents executed an arrest in Minnesota,” Bondi said in a statement posted on X. “So far, we have arrested Nekima Levy Armstrong, who allegedly played a key role in organizing the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. We will share more updates as they become available. Listen loud and clear: WE DO NOT TOLERATE ATTACKS ON PLACES OF WORSHIP.”
Later in the day, Bondi announced a second arrest in the same case, identifying Chauntyll Louisa Allen as having been taken into custody. “UPDATE: A second arrest has been made at my direction. Chauntyll Louisa Allen has been taken into custody,” Bondi wrote in a follow-up statement shared on X. “More to come. WE WILL PROTECT OUR HOUSES OF WORSHIP.”
The arrests follow an investigation into events that occurred during a church service at Cities Church earlier in the week. Federal officials have not yet released detailed information about the specific actions alleged to have taken place inside the church or the charges the suspects may face.
Bondi’s announcement came as Donald Trump held a press conference alongside the attorney general and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche following a Supreme Court-related appearance, according to a White House caption accompanying images from the event.
Federal authorities said additional updates would be provided as the investigation continues.
