Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk is scheduled to make a closely watched appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, where he will participate in a panel discussion alongside BlackRock Chief Executive Larry Fink, according to an updated agenda released by the forum’s organizers.

The session is set for 4:30 p.m. local time (1530 GMT) and brings together two of the most influential figures in global business and finance.

While the World Economic Forum has not disclosed the topic or agenda for the discussion, the pairing of Musk and Fink has already drawn attention given their outsized roles in shaping debates around technology, markets, sustainability, and global economic policy. The planned appearance was first reported by Business Insider.

Musk’s participation comes at a time when Davos is once again serving as a focal point for discussions about geopolitical tensions, the future of capitalism, artificial intelligence, climate change, and the evolving relationship between governments and the private sector.

As the head of Tesla, SpaceX and several other ventures, Musk has become one of the most influential and controversial voices in technology and business, known for his outspoken views on regulation, innovation, free speech and global politics.

Larry Fink, meanwhile, leads the world’s largest asset manager, overseeing trillions of dollars in investments.

His presence alongside Musk underscores the intersection of technological disruption and global finance that has become a defining theme at Davos.

In recent years, Fink has used the forum to outline BlackRock’s views on long-term investing, corporate governance and the economic risks posed by climate change and geopolitical instability.

Musk’s appearance follows a series of high-profile speeches and meetings at this year’s World Economic Forum, including remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, which have dominated headlines amid debates over trade, security and the Arctic.

Davos has also been the site of protests, with activists demonstrating against corporate power, defense firms and political leaders ahead of the forum’s opening.

Although details of Thursday’s panel remain scarce, Musk’s presence is expected to attract significant attention from attendees, investors and the media alike.

Whether the discussion focuses on technology, markets, energy, geopolitics or the broader direction of the global economy, the exchange between Musk and Fink is likely to be one of the most closely followed moments of the conference.
