KINGSTON – The City of Kingston has chosen a development team for the city-owned property at 25 Field Court, Mayor Steven Noble announced Thursday.
The partnership of Affordable Housing Conservancy, Fulcra Development and Sisters of Charity Housing Development Corporation.
The team has proposed a high density, affordable residential rental project with both retail and community-serving spaces on the ground floor “and will make a meaningful connection to the Midtown Linear Park and surrounding neighborhood.”
He said the Parkline project would include some 100 new rental units with a mix of unit sizes.
The city is working to designate the area of Midtown including that under one-acre parcel as a Brownfield Opportunity Area and that would make it eligible for additional tax credits and state grants, Noble said.
