A new Monday brings with it a fresh update in the ITTF World Table Tennis Rankings, with Week 2’s list highlighting a monumental milestone for one of the biggest stars in Women’s table tennis.

And that player is none other than Zhu Yuling, who celebrates 500 total weeks in the World Top 20!

With nearly a decade of experience at the highest echelons of the sport, Zhu has made her name famous to table tennis fans across the globe, showcasing breath-taking skill, resilience and consistency on the table at an almost unrivalled level.

500 total weeks in the World Top 20, what an incredible achievement for Zhu Yuling!

Rewinding the clock back to 2014, Zhu would takedown two of the sport’s strongest players, Liu Shiwen and Chen Meng, to emerge Women’s Singles champion at both ITTF World Tour World Tour Swedish Open Stockholm 2014 and ITTF World Tour Kuwait Open Kuwait City 2014.

Three years later, fans welcomed a new World No.1 in the Women’s Singles, with Zhu rising to the top spot for the very first time in 2017, proving her prowess and marking her greatness as a sporting giant.

Fast forwarding to 2024, Zhu, after a long spell away from the international scene, made her comeback, taking the Women’s Singles title at WTT Feeder Cagliari 2024 following her narrow victory over Sakura Yokoi.

It was only a matter of time before Zhu would set her sights on WTT Series silverware, and by 2025, she would write her name in the history books once again by becoming a WTT Grand Smash champion, beating Chen Yi to the Women’s Singles title at United States Smash 2025 in a six-game thriller.

Currently positioned at World No.7, Zhu now turns her sights to WTT Champions Doha 2026, where she sizes up her first title of the New Year, and her first piece of silverware at WTT Champions level.

Big Ranking Points For The Taking!

Trophies aren’t the only treasure to be found in Doha, with players looking to rise up the ITTF World Table Tennis Rankings by winning big at Lusail Sports Arena.

The stakes are high in Doha, but Zhu Yuling is no stranger to the spotlight.

Former World No.1 Zhu is one such competitor with her eye on the ranking spoils, as she looks to ascend the charts once more – perhaps even to the very top.
