Religious NGOs, including Catholic Charities and World Relief, are raking in “hundreds of millions” in U.S. taxpayer dollars to facilitate mass migration, child trafficking, and population replacement, while weaponizing Christian faith to justify their actions, according to William Wolfe, a former Trump administration official and director of the Center for Baptist Leadership.

WASHINGTON — Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) “operating under a Christian veneer” are engineering an “invasion” of the United States by exploiting federal funding to encourage illegal immigration, facilitate human trafficking, and enable population replacement, according to William Wolfe, a former Trump administration official and current executive director of the Center for Baptist Leadership.
In an interview with Border Hawk, Wolfe accused Catholic Charities, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, and World Relief of using taxpayer dollars to “push refugees up through South America and to our border”—a process he described as “not wholly organic” but “funded and facilitated by people who were using the name of Christ.”
“These massive NGOs that take a lot of money from the federal government… they were using that money to essentially encourage illegal immigration to the United States,” Wolfe said. “The southern border invasion was not wholly organic by any means. It was funded and facilitated by people who were using the name of Christ.”
Taxpayer-Funded Trafficking and Exploitation
Wolfe, who served in the Department of Defense and State Department during Trump’s first term, alleged that these religious NGOs are “directly contributing to human trafficking, drug trafficking, child sex trafficking—all of these things which are downstream and unavoidable consequences of mass migration.”
“They’re saying they’re doing the Lord’s work—it’s blasphemous, quite frankly,” Wolfe said. “We’re talking tens and hundreds of millions of dollars… and when [the current administration] started to turn these spigots off, they were potentially going to go bankrupt, and they should.”
He argued that NGO executives and employees ignore the “horrific effects” of open borders because “their paychecks depend on complicity and feigned ignorance.”
“They have no interest in actually understanding the real, horrific effects of what they’re facilitating here,” Wolfe said. “They are completely locked into this mindset of, ‘We are trying to help the least of these,’ and of course, the ‘least of these’ does not include the children being trafficked or the lives being destroyed by the drugs.”
A Distorted Interpretation of Scripture
Wolfe dismantled progressive claims that Scripture mandates open borders, particularly the argument that Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were “asylum seekers.” He cited Leviticus, where Israelites were commanded to welcome strangers—but only under strict assimilation requirements, including conversion, circumcision, and adherence to Jewish law.
“Even in the Old Testament… you had to convert to their religion, worship the God of the Israelites, follow all their ceremonies, laws, and customs,” Wolfe explained. “It’s not even close to what we require of assimilated immigrants in America today.”
He also noted that Joseph and Mary’s flight to Egypt was within the Roman Empire’s borders—akin to “a conservative leaving a blue state for a red state”—not an international migration crisis.
“They are politicizing one of the most important events in all of human history—the birth of Christ—for their own globalist, progressive ends,” Wolfe said. “We should just reject it outright and say, ‘That’s not what it means.’”
The Solution: Defunding and Political Action
Wolfe argued that NGOs exploiting faith for profit must be stopped through political and financial means:
- “Beat them at the ballot box” – Elect leaders who oppose mass migration policies.
- “Deny them their funding” – Cut off federal grants to NGOs facilitating illegal immigration.
- “Win the propaganda war” – Educate American Christians on how their faith is being “weaponized against them by globalists.”
“You can’t really reason with them in my experience,” Wolfe said. “You just have to beat them at the ballot box, deny them their funding, and then try to win this propaganda war.”
Key Takeaways:
✔ Christian NGOs (Catholic Charities, World Relief, etc.) are using taxpayer funds to facilitate mass migration and trafficking. ✔ Wolfe: “They’re doing the Lord’s work? It’s blasphemous.” ✔ Scripture does NOT support open borders—Leviticus required strict assimilation. ✔ Solution: Defund NGOs, elect anti-mass migration leaders, expose globalist agenda.
“This isn’t about compassion—it’s about control, profit, and population replacement,” Wolfe concluded. “And it’s being done in the name of Christ.”
