Israel has warned it will take military action if Iran continues rebuilding missile production sites destroyed in June strikes, as satellite imagery confirms Tehran’s reconstruction efforts, The Wall Street Journal reported.

TEL AVIV — Israeli officials are closely monitoring Iran’s efforts to rebuild missile production sites destroyed by Israeli airstrikes in June, vowing to act decisively if new threats emerge, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Satellite images analyzed by Sam Lair, a researcher at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, confirm that Iran is reconstructing the targeted facilities.

Netanyahu’s Warning

Speaking at an Israeli Air Force graduation ceremony on Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is watching Iran and its proxies—Hamas and Hezbollah—as they rearm and will respond forcefully if necessary.

“We are not looking for confrontations, but our eyes are open to any possible danger,” Netanyahu stated.

Defense Minister Israel Katz echoed the sentiment, emphasizing Israel’s commitment to preempt emerging threats.

U.S.-Israel Coordination Ahead of Trump Meeting

Netanyahu is set to travel to the United States for year-end talks with President Donald Trump, where Iran’s missile and nuclear activities will be a key discussion point, an Israeli official told the Journal.

While Trump has warned Iran against reviving its nuclear program, he has not publicly addressed missile production. White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly reiterated the administration’s stance:

“As President Trump has said, if Iran pursued a nuclear weapon, that site would be attacked and would be wiped out before they even got close.”

However, U.S. officials privately express concerns about Israel’s potential use of force, the Journal reported. Any Israeli strike on Iran’s missile sites would likely require tacit U.S. approval, as Israel would need American support to counter Iranian retaliation.

Iran’s Dual Strategy: Missiles and Nuclear Caution

Israel has repeatedly warned Iran that rebuilding nuclear or missile capabilities will trigger further action. Analysts note that while Iran is aggressively restoring missile production, it is proceeding more cautiously with nuclear facilities.

U.S. Cracks Down on Iran’s Military Supply Chains

Earlier this month, a U.S. special operations team seized military-related goods bound for Iran from China in the Indian Ocean, the Journal reported. Additionally, the Treasury Department sanctioned 32 individuals and entities across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia for supporting Iran’s ballistic missile and drone programs.

A Looming Confrontation

With Israel’s resolve firm and Iran’s reconstruction underway, the stage is set for high-stakes diplomatic and military maneuvering. The upcoming Netanyahu-Trump meeting could determine whether U.S. backing for an Israeli strike materializes—or whether diplomacy will prevail in curbing Iran’s missile ambitions.
