President Donald Trump’s approval rating has seen a notable rebound in December, according to Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ), which reported a statistically significant increase in his polling average.
Trump currently holds a 44.1% approval rating, compared to a 52.1% disapproval, per DDHQ’s latest figures. Exactly one month ago, his approval stood at 41.9%, with a 55.1% disapproval, marking a net 5.2% swing in his favor in mid-December, according to DDHQ’s tracking.
The DDHQ data aligns closely with other polling aggregators. RealClearPolling, for example, currently places Trump’s average approval at 43.9% and disapproval at 53.4%.
Trump’s approval rating had dipped to its lowest point in mid-November, though it has generally hovered around 45% throughout his second term. The recent uptick suggests a shifting public sentiment as the administration heads into the new year. Analysts will be watching whether this trend continues in the coming months.
