MID-HUDSON – Most schools in the region are closed today as the first winter storm is upon us.
Many municipalities have also declared snow emergencies to keep vehicles off the streets so that plow can clear them.
Depending on upon where you live, you could get anywhere from three to nine inches of the white stuff before the storm is over on Tuesday evening.
If you are out driving, remember to leave extra room between vehicles, drive slowly and be extra cautious.
